Set up AlltraShow and create your first presentation in minutes

What is AlltraShow?

AlltraShow is a professional presentation control application designed for teams that need reliability, simplicity, and power. Build a playlist once, then control everything live with intuitive controls.

Installation

  1. Download AlltraShow from AlltraTech
  2. Run the installer and follow the setup wizard
  3. Launch the application from your Start menu
  4. Create your first playlist!

Supported Media Formats

Create Your First Playlist

  1. Add Media: Click "Add Media to Playlist" button
  2. Select Files: Choose image, video, or audio files
  3. Arrange Order: Drag items to arrange or right-click to move
  4. Preview: Click any item to preview in center panel
  5. Save: Go to File → Save Playlist and give it a name

Playlist Files

Playlists are saved as .playlist files containing:

  • All media references
  • File order and timing
  • Your custom notes
  • Playlist settings

🎬 Live Presentation

Present to your audience with confidence

Starting a Presentation

  1. Select the first item in your playlist
  2. Click the Presentation toggle button
  3. A separate window opens with your presentation
  4. You now control everything live

Display Modes

📺 Single Screen

Both control and presentation share the same monitor

🖥️ Dual Screen

Control on one monitor, audience sees the other

Configure your display mode in Settings → Display to optimize for your setup.

Image Auto-Advance Setup

  1. Go to Settings → Configure AlltraShow
  2. Set "Slide Duration" (seconds per image)
  3. Enable "AutoPlay"
  4. Click Play to start

Best practices for professional presentations

Before You Present

  • ✓ Test your playlist completely beforehand
  • ✓ Check audio levels on all videos
  • ✓ Organize playlist in logical order
  • ✓ Add presenter notes with timings
  • ✓ Save your playlist to a backup location

During Presentation

  • Use arrow keys to navigate smoothly
  • Double-click any item to jump directly to it
  • Press M to quickly mute if needed
  • Keep your notes panel visible
  • Refer to timing cues in notes

🔧 Troubleshooting

Solutions to common issues

Presentation Won't Open

  • Check if another presentation is already open
  • Try clicking Presentation button again
  • Restart the application

Audio or Video Not Playing

  • Verify file format is supported (see Formats above)
  • Check your audio drivers
  • Try a different media file to test
  • Restart AlltraShow

Playlist Not Saving

  • Verify you have write permissions to the folder
  • Try saving to a different location (Documents, Desktop)
  • Check that you have disk space available
